National Football Youth League Hopefuls

Seven Northampton Town FEP Learners were invited to trials for the National Football Youth League (NFYL) recently. The NFYL Trials are split into 2 stages.

The initial first stage is split into North and South regions, the Southern trials took place at Oxford’s City Ground. Alex Dicks, Ruby Helseden, Beth Artemiou, Tom Ladyman, Tyrun Primus, James Owen and Johnny Carey represented the Cobblers on the Male and Female side of the trials. 

Of the seven players, four were selected for stage two of the NFYL Trials at the home of the England Football Team, St Georges Park. Alex and Beth were selected from the Female side and Tyrun and James from the Male side for the trials on 30th November. 

Football and Education Lead, Fran Constancio Calvo led day one of the teams in the Regional Trials at Oxford and the South selection at St Georges Park. Another really exciting opportunity for four learners to showcase their skills to a live audience
